VW Beetles are pretty great, right? I’d say the only problem with them is that they have too many wheels. Four wheels are so unnecessary, amirite? Well, it seems that at least a few people thought so...
Perhaps they were made for tax reasons or to get around regulations? Whatever the case, they’re interesting.

Probably regulations. Though Finland's had to be more lax than the UK, since even a 3-wheeled Beetle would certainly still be over 8cwt.
